Fun with Tens and Ones

In this math activity, we used pretzel sticks and cheerios to represent numbers. The pretzels represented the tens place and the cheerios represented the ones place. The students created their numbers first using the foods, then they drew pictures to represent their numbers. The students drew lines to represent the tens place and X's to represent the ones place. After the students drew their pictures representing the tens and ones place, they were able to eat their tasty math treat!
