Johnny Appleseed

September 26 marked Johnny Appleseed's birthday! We learned about Johnny Appleseed and how he contributed to our nations heritage. We read books about Johnny Appleseed and we really enjoyed Ms. Payne's PowerPoint about Johnny Appleseed's life. We also learned the difference between fact and fiction. Johnny Appleseed was a real person, but had fictional characteristics, like wearing a pot for a hat. Check out our awesome apple tree that Ms. Payne put up in our hallway. Each apple tells a fact about Johnny Appleseed.
