Apples, Apples, Everywhere!

Our class went on a virtual field trip to an apple orchard! First we read a book about apple orchards to learn about them. Then we went on our own virtual field trip with the help of PowerPoint! On our virtual field trip we rode on a hayride and picked three different types of apples. We picked green, yellow, and red apples and we tasted each one. To meet our standards, we talked about different apples and used adjectives to describe the apples. After we wrote our adjectives on a graphic organizer, we wrote a narrative story about our experience to the apple orchard. In math, we charted our favorite apples and met the standard by comparing and contrasting the class' favorite apples. We had a blast with our apples mini-unit!
